Departing Australia Superannuation Payment

Once you’ve read the FAQ document, you will know what process to follow for your DASP application and what forms you will require. Generally, using the Online ATO application system is easier if your balance is over $5,000 OR if your superannuation has been transferred to the ATO (visa cancelled for 6+ months). Using the paper application method is generally easier and quicker for balances under $5,000 still held with the fund manager.

Here are some of the forms you might require.

For Online Applications:

• ATO Online Application System
• ATO Page with more DASP information and contact details

For Paper Applications:

If your super is still with the fund manager, use the DASP Application Form (NAT 7204)
If your super has been transferred to the ATO, use the Application for payment of unclaimed super – individual (NAT 71685)

Supporting Documents:

• Letter to nominate Australian Bank account
• Certificate of Immigration Status (balances over $5,000 applying with the Paper Method)
